Petr Zeman Quartet Jazz, blues, fusion, smooth jazz
In 2019, Peter Zeman Quartet proudly celebrates the 20th anniversary of its existence. Petr Zeman, the central figure of this ensemble is a well renown Czech modern jazz guitarist, who has collaborated among others with Antonín Viktora, Michael Gera, Jana Koubková and Milan Svoboda Kontraband. Peter plays his own compositions and those of his colleagues inspired by jazz & fusion genre. He plays electric and acoustic guitar, guitar synthesizer and electric mandolin.
Peter recorded his three CDs: Here and Now, Master of the Week, Dog’s Live and collaborated on many other either as a composer or as a guitarist.
Peter Zeman Quartet is composed of prime musician in the jazz and reck scene of Prague. Petr Zeman guitar, Pavel Fanta piano, trumpet, Štěpán Eliáš piano, French horn, FilipSpálený, Jáchym Bašek, Zdeněk Wimpy Tichota bass, Pavel Razím, Jan Červenka, Filip Jeníček drums.
The band holds regular performances in renown jazz clubs of Prague. You can hear Peter’s guitar in Michael Gera’s Gera Band, swing band Hot Club de Hájek or in jazz andclassical music improv band called Close En-counters.
